With David Cameron setting out his cabinet for a second term in office, the spotlight turns on the polling industry with many asking how almost all the surveys could have failed to predict his party would win. This election is not the first time the pollsters have got it wrong and, as Nina dos Santos reports, the country’s £3.2bn market research industry is now under pressure to prove its worth.
